He was the Principal of Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, from 1994 to 2000.  He was instrumental in the development of the College in all aspects and he was also the Founder Principal of Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology.  He has been the Secretary of NIA Institutions since 2000.

With  strong determination and active involvement, Prof. C. Ramaswamy helps the NIA institutions achieve academic excellence. He has carved out an indelible page in the golden history of NIA institutions, in creating infrastructure, promoting partnerships with institutions and corporate in India and abroad as well.

An experienced educationist and administrator, Prof C.R has played a dominant role in the growth and development of the NIA institutions.
